Water Conservation Through Land Stewardship

This workshop will be held at a local farm and will cover the topics of domestic and irrigation water sources, storage and use while provide a holistic approach to the concept of conservation. Through the integration of microclimate management, forest restoration and regenerative cultivation practices we will seek to better understand the important role that land stewardship plays in relation to the availability and security of water resources.

 • Water budgets and how they relate to water source.

 • Rainwater catchment (storage) and harvesting systems (earthworks).

 • Microclimate (humidity, sun and wind) and soil management.

 • Forest restoration, groundwater recharge and aquifer enhancement.
